Curriculum Overview
Transforming Passion Into Professional Mastery.
This 6-month structured programme at NIIB prepares students to become makeup artists who can match times, trends, styles, movements and themes with excellent craftsmanship. Students learn both technical and creative aspects of makeup and hair styling while building portfolios.
Curriculum
- Module 1: Makeup Application (5 weeks) — foundation techniques, eye makeup, special effects, skin types, colours, hygiene and safety.
- Module 2: Advanced Prosthetic Makeup (5 weeks) — taught by international trainers with Hollywood and Bollywood experience. Topics include old-age makeup, bald caps, burns, and injuries.
- Module 3: Fantasy & Runway Makeup (5 weeks) — professional catwalk makeup specialisation focusing on working under time pressure, backstage etiquette, and designer collaboration.
- Modules 4 & 5: Pro Creative Hairstyling (5 weeks each) — foundation to advanced hairstyling covering hair types, runway trends, retro styles (1950s-1990s), and sectioning.
Career Outcomes
The programme aims to position graduates for big platforms like New York Fashion Week and major makeup/fashion industry events. Placement partners include L'Oréal, Temptu, and multiple salon chains.
Eligibility
Prior makeup training preferred. Strong creative passion essential.
